Hawaii is one of my favorite places to shoot! Now don’t get me wrong, there are many overrated beach resorts that are over crowded with tourists. But if you know where to look, you will find yourself surrounded by beautiful palm trees, stunning mountain landscapes, and on top of crystal clear water and soft sandy beaches.
KC & Hayden were one of the first couples I got to photograph in Hawaii. They decided to have their wedding ceremony on a beach right at sunset and I couldn’t be happier! Most ceremonies don’t take place during sunset because of logistical reasons. But when you elope, you can do whatever you want hehe…
We could not have asked for more perfect weather. There was a beautiful clear sky. I knew that right when I showed up, that this was going to be great!!
We started getting ready at Ko Olina Resort (It’s wayyyyy better than Waikiki BTW) Grabbed a few getting ready shots and bridal portraits. Then we made our way to a more secluded beach around the area. It was beautiful.
The beach ceremony was beautiful, and what’s cool about it was that the officiant blew the sea conch to announce to the world that they were married! Once the ceremony was over, we had one of the best wedding photo sessions ever!
Golden hour was beyond perfect which made literally every photo magical. I’m telling you, no flash will ever beat extravagant sunsets! They walked away with one of the best golden hours that year! I’m so happy I got to know them and grateful that they chose us for their elopement day 🙂
Are you ready to plan your own elopement?! Let’s do it!
