Desert View Weddings and Events – Review

I recently went on a tour at this stunning private wedding venue in apache junction called Desert View. This venue boasts a spacious 6,000 sqft Event Center and a cozy 3,000 sqft Wedding Chapel. Both spaces are fully equipped with climate control, ensuring comfort for you and your guests throughout the year. This is premier venue in the east of phoenix, about 30 minutes from phoenix sky harbor airport. What makes this venue so cool is the incredible panoramic views of the majestic superstition mountains

Photographer review of Desert View Wedding

Bridal Suite: A perfect getting ready room

I love this bridal suite. First off the natural lights are amazing tons of window and really cool accent light on the make up station. this is a great place for a nice soft lights because of the white walls and the white ceiling so the light and bounce around everywhere. quite honestly, it’s really hard to screw up photos in this suite.

It might be a little harder to achieve dramatic lighting in this scenario. However, if you are the type of couple that like more dramatic images reach out for more information because that’s kind of my style and i know how to work with spaces like this.

The suite also have access to a small changing room with tons of hangers. honestly I love this because it can create n opportunity for storytelling imagery because of the interesting layout

Groom Suite: Dramatic and Stylish

The groom suite has a little bit more contrast compared to the bridal suite with the black accent wall and dark furniture. Not as much natural lighting coming in because it’s only has one window but that window is huge and is great for creating more dramatic getting ready images. Tons of getting ready space so you wont feel too cramped.

The Chapel: Indoor Ceremony Space

For those who prefer an indoor setting, the chapel features clean interiors and large windows that open to let in fresh air and views of the Superstition Mountains. It’s a great backup plan for hot weather or rain, offering softer lighting that’s flattering for everyone.

Outdoor Ceremony Area: Epic and Open

You can also have your ceremony outdoor on the lawn in between two buildings. this will of course be more outdoorsy and open and will give a more epic and open vibe. one thing to keep in mind is that you’re gonna be in the middle of the sun which mean harsher lighting on your face. But outdoor ceremony area with the superstition mountains as your backdrop?? its hard to beat that.

The Banquet Hall: Reception Space

as you can see from the photo the this is a very modern rustic environment. The big giant windows give you amazing view of the superstition mountain. the wooden chair and ceiling, give it a more rustic vibe. And the modern chandelier and clean architecture give them all modern twist. This is also kind of a blank canvas that if you want to decorate it in any other way, you totally can.

The Courtyard: Perfect for Cocktails

The courtyard of the Desert view is simple and charming. They are string lights hanging between two buildings and open artificial grass lawn. This is a space mostly utilized for ceremony or cocktail hours. The highlight of the space is of course the superstition mountain. beside that, it’s pretty open, you might have to bring other things to make the space a little more unique.

The Desert: Unique Photo Ops

just a 15 second walk from the building you’ll hit a desert area. This is where I recommend couples go for sunset evening photo shoots. with tons of cactus, desert vegetation, and view of the mountain. Not much to say here, its also so rare to have access to space with incredible mountain view from your venue. so 10/10

Who’s this wedding venue for???

Couples who love the mix of epic outdoorsy photos and traditional wedding experience for a medium-large sized guest list (about 150-200) will find Desert View to be the perfect match. I do think that this venue is too big for 50 people wedding, it doesn’t have that intimate cozy feel which isn’t a bag thing, just different.

The Paseo vs Desert View – wedding venues in Apache Junction, AZ….

It doesn’t take much to find out very quickly that Desert View look similar to another wedding venue in Apache Junction called The Paseo. The Paseo was pretty much the only full fledge wedding venue in the valley that placed at the foot of the Superstition Mountains, surrounded by native Sonoran Desert. but that’s no longer true….

With Desert View open, couple are wondering what are the differences of these two venues… Both offer stunning view of the superstition mountain during ceremony, reception, and photoshoot. I wont go super into details you can check out another blog i wrote about the Paseo here but here’s a quick breakdown

  • The Paseo is more rustic & Desert view is more modern, different vibes
  • Desert View has bigger getting ready suites
  • The Paseo highly specialized in wedding event. Desert View does other events too
